Dream Theater: Stream of consciousness. House of blues. LA, USA. 11.11.97

Description

Well donít fell bad if you donít know what is Nightmare Cinema, I also didnít know it, until I heard this one, The song Perfect strangers was played by them and is a side project of all the members changing positions in the band, so we have Derek Sherinian: Guitar, John Myung: Keyboards, John Petrucci: Drums, Mike Portnoy: Bass and background vocals, and James as usual on vocals, according to Mike this was the second time that they did that in USA, they sound like a good garage band but they are better in their own instruments. By the way in Itís mine but you can drive it all the vocals were sung by Mike.

I have never liked the sound that they had during all this tour and this one is not the exception, this one was broadcasted live on internet, but the sound is really far from good soundboard, with a compacted-hollow sound, there is a minor mistake during Voices at minute 7:20 like 3 seconds of some kind of error but not sure what kind exactly. According with the back cover the version of Surrounded is with Mike Portnoy on vocals but that one wasnít part of the show.
