Last show for Iron Maiden in the tour and
2008, and first time in Russia in 15 years, the show is very energetic, unfortunately
there are 2 versions, this one and Felix version, and as far as I know Felix’s
is much better, this one is quite average, with no mistakes but sound is not
great.
TAPER’S NOTES: “This show was the last show of the "Somewhere
Back In Time" world tour 2008, and it was a
really great one. Maiden hadn't been in Russia since 1993, and many people dreamed
about seeing them live. I must say that gig itself went really well, I hadn't
located many drunk or aggressive people. Most of the people (at least around
me) were very much into the show. Iron Maiden
themselves were in a good mood, Bruce talked a lot.
The sound you can hear on track 06 on CD 1 (1:05-1:20) and at the various parts
of the show was made by people's feet trampling
the arena - it was trembling - I really mean it!
It was a good trip for me (I'm not from Moscow) - it was a great show and great
experience, besides, I met Nicko McBrain
and got 6 items signed - scans of some of them you can see on the cover
artwork.
I'm including the cover art (made by me, just as all the others in the BOP
series), and the freq and spectral analysises in the torrent to make sure the recording is
lossless.
I hope you'll enjoy this recording.
Enjoy the new bootleg. It's the completely new recording, released in
2008, one week after it was taped. Share and trade freely, but please keep
the original info - show respect to the ones who made it possible. And please
don't make any other artwork for this one - use the one included in the
torrent.
We still plan to make more releases in the "Bat On
Penguin" Series. Also, more of Soapman's radio
recordings to come soon. One thing is for sure - it will be only completely new
releases, previously unavailable to bootleg community.
